HANDMADE EMBROIDERY PAPER GIFT WRAP
WEB 350

Description

Dimensions : 21" W, 29" L

Ecofriendly papers are pioneers in creating embroidery on paper. These intricately embroidered papers were introduced by us for the first time in National Stationery show in the year 2004. These were greatly appreciated and we continue to add more and more designs every year in this series.  The paper used is handmade recycled cotton paper made from waste textile scraps. It has a textile like beautiful texture which is embroidered by master craftsmen in various designs and colours.  These embroidered sheets are converted into gift wraps and are also used for various activities like scrapbooking, book binding, craft work and more. The hand process of making this paper provides sustainable employment opportunities to various local artisans that belong to paper making, embroidery and paper product making communities. Thank you for choosing these handmade gift wraps and encouraging fair trade supported hand craft!

This design has a muticolour mandala design embroidered on recycled handmade paper. The wrap is excellent for use in all celebrations owing to its bright colours and unusual hand craft. This design is available in more colour options like biege and white.

Handmade with Love by artisans in India!

Additional Info

Our 100% recycled cotton paper is made by artisans in Rajasthan, India, following a generations-old process. First, discarded cotton scraps are collected from the textile industry. Cotton is broken down into fibers using a traditional wheel press and then soaked overnight. Next, the pulp is strained, pressed into pages and hung to dry. After ironing, crisp pear goes either into journals or into the hands of artisans for screen-printing, embroidery or patchwork. The entire process is tree-free, non-toxic, and conserves and filters water for reuse in irrigation.
