Our Water colour Journal features a majestic peacock that is so easily found wandering in our state of Rajasthan. The beautiful bird is painted with water colours using handmade cotton paper as canvas. This art work is inspiring for its owner to create artful depictions that can be preserved on its unlined cotton blank inner pages for years to come. The journals is bound by hand braided gold thread braid and gold tassel, complimenting the hand painted gold outlines of the peacock art work.  A beautiful gift and a keepsake product worth treasuring.

Additional Info

Our 100% recycled cotton paper is made by artisans in Rajasthan, India, following a generations-old process. First, discarded cotton scraps are collected from the textile industry. Cotton is broken down into fibers using a traditional wheel press and then soaked overnight. Next, the pulp is strained, pressed into pages and hung to dry. After ironing, crisp pear goes either into journals or into the hands of artisans for screen-printing, embroidery or patchwork. The entire process is tree-free, non-toxic, and conserves and filters water for reuse in irrigation.
