Our 100% cotton Marbling Journals embrace the traditional Indian art of cotton paper making passed down for generations in Rajasthan, India in one-of-a-kind marbled designs. These 4x6 journals are handcrafted from soft, upcycled cotton paper with 96 pages. Artisans convert cotton waste into a pulp to create richly textured, 100% tree-free paper pages with a uniquely soft feel. The cover design is created using an oil-marbling technique. Each cover boasts a unique appearance in one of four vibrant, assorted colorways. The journal is finished with a gold zari cord tie.

Handmade with love by artisans in India!
Our 100% recycled cotton paper is made by artisans in Rajasthan, India, following a generations-old process. First, discarded cotton scraps are collected from the textile industry. Cotton is broken down into fibers using a traditional wheel press and then soaked overnight. Next, the pulp is strained, pressed into pages and hung to dry. After ironing, crisp pear goes either into journals or into the hands of artisans for screen-printing, embroidery or patchwork. The entire process is tree-free, non-toxic, and conserves and filters water for reuse in irrigation.
